The Company
Founded in 1998 ADREDV, Regional Development Agency between Douro and Vouga, aims to promote and consolidate the economic and social development in the region. The mission consists of the promotion of integration and cooperation among various agencies in the region, encouraging the development of innovative ideas, the region's tourism, marketing of regional products, among other activities. The need for a solution regarding Management and Location of Fleets stems from the desire to have an effective management of vehicles which are mostly the responsibility of field teams with purposes as varied as inspections, waste collection, among others.
The Business
Equipment acquisition was made through public tender, requiring the fulfilment of detailed specifications. Several companies entered the competitive tendering, where the most important factors were diversity of characteristics vs. costs involved. According to Mr. Fernando Pinto, technical director of the project EDV Digital, "Inosat’s solution won because it had the best response to the requested items and best cost-benefit."
The system was installed in 5 different organizations in the municipalities of Oliveira de Azeméis, São João da Madeira, Santa Maria da Feira and Arouca. In those 5 entities a total of 10 people work with the system. According to Mr. Fernando Pinto, acceptance of the system on behalf of the employees was easy, and the results obtained with Inofleet were meeting the needs and expectations created.

Before proceeding with the purchase of equipment, there was a period of product analysis through a demo version, and the results obtained allowed to conclude that the deal was successful. The reliability of the product was a critical factor in the decision because it is important to obtain a proven product that provides benefits to ISS.
The acceptance of the system by the employees was easy, "everyone understood that a "tracking system" is not an instrument of control, it might possibly interfere with their privacy, but on the one hand, it is a protection because they can be found anytime, and on the other hand, an advantage for the optimization of our fleet "as explained Rui Gomes, Adviser to the Administration of ISS. Currently with 20 employees working with the application, ISS has initially: reduced operating costs, saved fuel and increased productivity, but "simply because the system installed in the vehicles is sufficiently deterrent."

In vehicles that consume about 20 litres per 100 kilometres, the main concern of Progelcone lied primarily in preventing non-conformances. According to Mr. Alfredo Almeida "in this first phase more than knowing where the vehicles are, we are interested in knowing if they really do the service ". The presentation of the system to employees produced an immediate effect, as various situations, for example, company vehicles which were stopped in front of the same cafe or routes of 60 km during lunch break ended. The experience has been positive, and expectations have been met, with a more massive use of the product even better results are expected and the purchase of more vehicles is now scheduled.

The Company
Sograma Gardens was born in 1991 in order to create a company in the construction and maintenance of green spaces, which with the experience of its resources provided the most modern technologies. Its main focus is the construction, maintenance and repair of irrigation systems and gardens and the hiring and / or replacement of interior plants. The company’s growth led to the increase of the commercial fleet. The rapid growth of vehicles was responsible for a greater need to control costs as well as oversee teams at work.
The Business
Before equipment acquisition, Sograma Gardens had a similar product, a company in the same sector, the result of a bad choice, which lasted for about 4 years. However, the instability of the products, coupled with constant failures in the reports led to its cancellation and it being replaced by Inosat’s products.
Currently with 31 units installed, Sograma is able to reduce operating costs, save fuel and increase productivity. "The final results are excellent, employees are careful in their movements. Our control is much easier regarding the vans in workplaces where we can control the length of stay in the gardens. What you pay per day for the use of Inosat’s services is low considering what it saves".
