Inosat Global and Jerónimo Martins are now celebrating a fruitful 10 year relationship.

Inosat Global, leading company in fleet management and vehicle tracking with GPS and GSM technology, and Jerónimo Martins (JM), important group in the retail and manufacturing industry have reached terms to expand the number of vehicles benefiting from the Inofleet solution. The two companies are now celebrating a fruitful 10 year relationship.

Founded in 1792, in Lisbon, JM is a Portuguese corporate group that operates in food distribution and consumer products manufacturing. It operates around 2,900 stores in Portugal, Poland, and Colombia and counts with approximately 70.000 employees.

In the distribution business it is critical for the fresh goods to arrive on time and in proper condition every day. Inosat has developed a tailor-made solution for Jerónimo Martins where, among other things, Inofleet helps its products to arrive on time to the shelves, ensures that fresh goods were kept in right condition while being transported and guarantees that no product theft occurs.

Tiago Borges, CEO at Inosat Global, remarks that “JM is one of our largest customers in Portugal and we have developed a synergistic relationship as they are keen for innovations that increase their efficiency. We have achieved great developments together such as our first can bus connection for driver behaviour analysis and fuel management. They also pushed us to develop tachograph integration and direct connection of units with their thermograph”. “We started with this customer 10 years ago with 200 vehicles and have today more than 400, always supporting its growth along the way”, he added.

Inosat has experienced accelerated growth of its international presence. The company currently manages more than 70,000 vehicles worldwide and Inosat clients are making optimal management of their fleets by using Inofleet’s innovative features. Inosat develops all its technology, both software and hardware, which provides great flexibility in adapting to client’s most demanding and specific needs.
