INOFLEET
I have vehicles that aren't communicating with the server. What shall I do?
Please contact your Technical Account Manager.
I'm not receiving automatic reports. Why is that?
Those e-mail might be going to the "junk e-mail" folder.
When a vehicle enters on an undergound parking, its route is still being recorded?
No. When a vehicle enters on an undergound parking, it looses GPS and the unit will use the last position known.
When a vehicle is on a zone without GPRS coverage is it possible to see its location using SMS?
Yes. Despite being on a zone without GPRS, that doesn't mean that you cannot have GSM coverage and so it's possible to locate the unit using SMS or make a route extration using a data call.
When a vehicle enters on a zone without GPRS coverage, is the information generated on that period lost?
No. When a vehicle enters on a zone without GPRS coverage, the unit continues to record all the information and will send it as soon as it has coverage again. The information is not lost.
LOCATOR FAMILY
How do I install the unit? (Car Locator)
To install the unit, you must go to a specialized auto repair shop.
What happens to the unit if someone cuts the battery of my car? (Car Locator)
If that happens, the unit’s battery will start working and it can last up to 30 days.
My unit is not working. How do I proceed?
Before you do anything you should check if you have credits in your personal account to make the location request (accessing the website http://consumer.inosat.com). Remember that the unit doesn’t locate behind buildings or in covered areas.
Can the use of the product lead to interference?
All our Locator units, with its GSM communication apparatus (Mobile) can generate the same type of electrical interference as mobiles.
Can I have more than one Locator on the same account?
Yes. You can have more than one unit on the same account. Furthermore the launching of more than two Locator family products has been anticipated up to the present and all of them can co-exist on one single account.
Why is there a light on the unit? When does it blink? (Child and My Locator)
The light blinks one time for each 20% of life left on the battery, so, if it blinks 5 times, it means that the battery is full. If there is no battery left on the unit, the light will not blink and the red light will remain on.
If the GPS isn’t active am I still going to receive the alert that is sent when the battery is below 20%? (Child and My Locator)
Yes, as long as GSM coverage exists. |
