EDP Group strengths confidence in Inosat raising their fleet under management to 1800 vehicles.

Present in 4 continents and 13 countries the Portuguese Energy Group EDP counts with approximately 12.000 workers. By renewing the contract in Brazil for another 36 months period and signing a new contract in Portugal for 48 months, EDP becomes Inosat’s biggest customer with a total of 1800 vehicles in operation.

“We are very pleased with the huge increase in vehicles that EDP is using with Inosat solutions, which increase from 400 to 1800 in the last 6 months, after an intense period of Proof of Concept with several worldwide competitors in Portugal and Brazil. It is extremely rewarding to see such a large company showing confidence in our most advanced solutions, which incorporate our most advanced features of Fleet, Tolls and Fuel Management. For Inosat it’s a major achievement to have EDP as a reference on the technical services industry that is a very important segment for our business.” Tiago Borges, Inosat Global CEO

EDP uses Inofleet solution to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs. To maximize the usage of the system EDP demanded to have 100% CAN BUS reading of all their 1000 vehicles in Portugal. Inosat engineers had to develop compatibility with the CAN BUS of more than 40 new models of light commercial vehicles that are present on their fleet in a very short time; as a result today Inosat has compatibility with more than 100 different LCVs in terms of CAN BUS reading, this represents a significant technological leap.
